The medieval, Gothic cathedral – Assumption of Mary and St. Andrew the Aposthel Cathedral – is the oldest building of the hill in Frombork. Built in 1329 – 1388, it has some outhouses, including two chapels: St. George chapel (the so called Polish Chapel) and Christ the Redeemer Chapel (called Szembek Chapel). The cathedral is home to some of the most famous Baroque organs in the country. A cultural attraction of Frombork is the International Festival of Organ Music taking place every Sunday from late June to August each year. Organ concerts in the cathedral of Frombork have a long tradition of more than 40 years.
