The Orthodox Church dating to the XIX century in Mrągowo at Roosevelta Street is a former synagogue, taken from the community by the Nazis after the Kristallnacht. Originally it was leased by the Orthodox clergy. The Orthodox Church is one of the most important city monuments.

Thanks to the efforts of the Bishops of Warmia, the church ruins returned into possession of the diocese. This allowed taking up the works in 1979 and reconstruct the church. Since 1982 it’s the site of services.
